Mammoth mistake?

In a groundbreaking development that could redefine the boundaries of science and conservation, Colossal Biosciences has announced a significant milestone in its ambitious project to resurrect the woolly mammoth. The company's recent breakthrough, a world-first achievement, has brought the dream of seeing a live mammoth by 2028 one step closer to reality.

  1. If we begin bringing back the mammoth, what will happen to the conservation efforts currently in place? The new way of thinking could become, "Who cares if a species is threatened or extinct? We can just bring them back again." This would be devastating to the preservation of habitats and species all over the planet if funding was to be reallocated elsewhere. A mammoth mistake indeed.
