New fiction

Lots of environmental themes are explored in this Fall's new fiction. I'm especially looking forward to the latest from my favorite contemporary novelist, Richard Powers:

Playground, by Richard Powers

Lives intersect on a French Polynesian island in this expansive, oceanic novel, which explores the effects of artificial intelligence and climate change on humanity.

First things first--a proper education
