Carbon Taxing? An interview with Green For All's director, Vien Truong

Minorities are disproportionately effected by global emissions and pollution. These communities are hurt first and worst.  AS we talk about climate change solutions we need to take into consideration the effects carbon emissions have had on minorities and poverty-stricken communities. African Americans have less access health care and healthy food, which makes the pollution in the air even more detrimental. We have to realize that the effects of climate change are no longer abstract, they have already begun-- whether it be big storms or sea-level rise.

Carbon taxing can create better environments for minorities and poor communities. Most importantly, this fund supports urban forestry, free solar panels, free energy efficiency, affordable housing, transit, and free bus passes for senior citizens and students in disadvantaged communities.

An interview with Vien Truong Director of  Green For All, which focuses on the initiative for a green economy.
