Protesting fracking

Don Enss

We have learned from our class some of the problems caused by fracking from methane emissions to earthquakes. We have also learned of some of the public opposition from trying to regulate it to outright banning it. Perhaps some of us may even have felt inspired enough to join some of the organizations that oppose fracking and some of the protest groups. I applaud you if you opt to do that and I plan to as well, but be prepared. This happened last December and should not deter you, but should prepare you to anticipate this type of response from some individuals and to know how you will respond.

  1. here's some news about fracking chemicals being dumped in the Gulf - where we are currently enjoying seemingly lovely water, sand and sun as well as dead jelly fish washing up on shore...

  2. It is rather disappointing that things have to be taken to such a low level when the differences at hand are as minimal as a difference in opinions about subjects like these. At least they did get justice in his firing.
