California bans shows and breeding of Orcas

This great news is not directly related to climate but it is a progressive step forward for our environment! California is the first state to make breeding and showing of orcas illegal. Sea World had already pledged to stop breeding orcas across the U.S. but as we know, it is much more relieving that they are held accountable by law. I think this serves as a comforting reminder to never underestimate the power of the people. Due the outrage and talk on social media about the documentary Blackfish, corporations and politicians responded.
