Coastal ecosystems face the impacts of climate change much more rapidly than others due to the increase in the temperature of coastal waters. They hold some of the greatest demonstrations of biodiversity in the world and it is crucial that they are conserved and protected in order to preserve not only environmental aspects, but also cultural as well. This article focuses on the coastal regions of Southern China and Southeastern Asia.
